The Old Cat

An old woman had a cat, which was very old; it could not run fast any more, and it could not bite anything, because it was too old. One day, the old cat found a mouse, and it jumped over to catch this mouse, however, it could not bite this mouse. So the mouse slipped out of its mouth, because the old cat could not bite it.

So the old woman was angry because the old cat had not bitten the mouse to death. She began to beat the cat, and the cat said, "Do not beat your old servant; I have served you for many years, and would still like to serve you; but I am really too old; do not be so merciless to the older ones, but remember the useful things that the older ones did when they were young."
