In which areas did China fishermen live in the Ming and Qing Dynasties?

The four major fishing grounds in China are traditional fishing grounds, and also the main fishing areas for fishermen in China during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Fishing grounds in the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea, (mainly distributed in Bohai Sea and Yellow Sea), Zhoushan Fishing Ground (near Zhoushan Islands), southern coastal fishing ground (distributed along the coast of Guangdong) and Beibu Gulf Fishing Ground (Beibu Gulf and sea area).

Formation conditions of Beibu Gulf Fishing Ground and Huangbohai Fishing Ground: (1) Located in continental shelf waters with shallow water depth, strong photosynthesis and abundant plankton, thus forming fishing grounds.

The formation conditions of southern coastal fishing grounds are: (1) located on the continental shelf; (2) There are rivers (Pearl River) along the coast, which bring a lot of nutrients and are beneficial to plankton reproduction; (1) Zhoushan fishing ground is located on the continental shelf; (2) There are rivers along the Yangtze River and Qiantang River, which bring a lot of nutrients; (3) Cold and warm currents meet Japanese warm currents and coastal cold currents.
