February 25th Origin of Huangshi Ancient Temple Fair in Chahe Town, Pizhou City

In memory of a fairy. A fairy appeared in Huangshi Village, Chahe Town. He planted immortal seeds in the village and the people lived and worked in peace and contentment. The villagers were so grateful to him that they built an ancestral temple in his place to worship the fairy. Huangshi Village in Chahe Town has been developing and expanding, and the ancestral temple has gradually expanded into an ancient temple. In order to commemorate the goodness of the fairy, the villagers hold a grand sacrifice on February 25th every year. This festival is called Huangshi Ancient Temple Fair. Huangshi Ancient Temple Fair in Chahe Town, Pizhou City is a traditional folk festival with a long history, which began in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty.
