Raining Bananas (Cantonese music) sheet music first appeared in 1917 or so Qiu He Companions edited the "string song must read", is one of the early excellent repertoire of Cantonese music, said to be from the hands of the He Bozhong

Music on the beginning of the melody is smooth and bright, to express the joy of people; then a series of split phrases, rhythmic staccato, as if the rain hit the sound of the rain, as the banana dancing, extremely rich in the southern country interest, the sound of rain. It is very rich in southern flavor. The earliest recordings were made by famous Cantonese musicians, such as Lü Wencheng, and the style of playing was rough and simple, showing the freshness of the early stage of the formation of Cantonese music.

In the early years of liberation, when the National Folk Music and Dance Concert was held, the Guangdong delegation added flutes and bells to the orchestra, and the performance was full of enthusiasm and vitality.

In the early sixties, Fang Han adapted the piece through polyphony, orchestration and other compositional means, making it even more beautiful and melodious; the final slow finale, led by the gaohu, is refreshingly delightful and interesting.

During the ten years of turmoil, the piece was adapted, and some new techniques were adopted in the structural arrangement and orchestration, and it was renamed "Banana Grove Joyful Rain" to save it from confinement. It was only after the "Gang of Four" was crushed that it was given a proper name.
