Construction Bank has always prioritized serving the national development strategy and actively participated in the implementation of national development strategies such as "One Belt, One Road", the construction of the Free Trade Zone, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Synergistic Development, and the construction of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
In 2014, the Bank gave full play to its traditional strengths, adding 271.482 billion yuan in infrastructure loans, accounting for 75.25% of the increase in corporate loans, with a focus on under-construction and renewal projects, national key projects, urbanization and new rural construction. It continued to maintain its leading position in housing finance, with a balance of 2.25 trillion yuan in personal housing loans, ranking first in the industry in terms of total amount and new additions, and accounting for more than 50% of the housing finance market.

Driven by the comprehensive transformation and development strategy, in 2014, the Construction Bank accelerated the integration of channel functions, built 13,700 comprehensive outlets, 17,500 integrated marketing teams, and gradually shifted the functions of its outlets to customer marketing and experience as well as product display. The customer base was further strengthened, with 110,000 and 680,000 effective corporate institutional customers and unit RMB settlement accounts added respectively, and 11.88 million effective personal customers added.
The construction of the new-generation core system was further improved, with all 13 application projects of the first phase of the "new-generation" going on-line, and the migration of 340,000 corporate cash management customers, 190,000 collection and payment entrusted units, and 2.52 million corporate Internet banking customers completed; and 34 projects of nine projects of the second phase, including customer channels, employee management, corporate cash management, and personal loans, were released ahead of schedule.
