The U.S. military rank hierarchy is set at 7 levels and 29 grades, including officers, warrant officers, non-commissioned officers and enlisted men.

Officers

1, general officers: 5-star admiral, 4-star admiral, lieutenant general, major general, brigadier general;

2, colonel: colonel, lieutenant colonel, major;

3, lieutenants: captains, lieutenants, ensigns;

Two, warrant officers are divided into grades: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 warrant officer;

p>three, non-commissioned officers: chief master sergeant; sergeant major: grade 1, 2, 3; non-commissioned officers: staff sergeant, sergeant, corporal;

four, enlisted men: 1st class, 2nd class, recruits (3rd class in the Navy).
