China's export of foreign culture is insufficient. How should this matter be solved?
The popular song "Gangnam Style" is popular all over the world, and the United States is no exception.
The Korean band "BTS BTS" topped the top 200 albums and the top 100 singles in the United States with its latest album.
The Korean Wave swept the world, not only in Asian markets, but also in Western Europe and America.
What are these? It is undoubtedly a cultural output.
Culture is a broad concept, not only referring to traditional cultures such as Beijing Opera, the Great Wall and Terracotta Warriors. Zhang Yimou said that "the more national it is, the more cosmopolitan it is", which led many people in China to misunderstand and regard the export of foreign culture as the export of our traditional culture, such as Peking Opera, the Great Wall, Terracotta Warriors and Horses, or China Kung Fu.
Whether traditional culture is China culture or not, it must be.
However, many traditional cultures in China do not necessarily like them, and even risk being lost. Can foreigners be expected to like it very much? I believe many people don't have this confidence. For foreigners, this thing is very strange, and it will be fresh for a while at most. It's still hard to attract them by these.
So the culture we are talking about should have a greater extension, not just those things that already exist.
The old culture needs to be preserved, and the new culture will have more spread and influence. At present, most of our cultural exports to the outside world are giving "old things" to foreigners. These things accumulated over hundreds or even thousands of years are alive, but because of different cultural backgrounds, what we think is good, others don't necessarily think so.
Simply exporting what we think is good will naturally not have a good effect.
Compared with South Korea's cultural output, it is not this routine at all. Or maybe they think they don't have too many old things, so they are trying to create new things.
In the current state of globalization, new things are mostly the products of the integration of various cultures around the world, and they are more likely to be accepted and recognized. It is also based on this that "BTS BTS" can occupy a place in the United States, and fans from all over the world will buy the peripheral products of these Korean artists. In order to know more about idols, I prefer to visit and study in the idol's home country.
We want to export China culture effectively and have more new things. Obviously, new things don't come for no reason, they are all developed on the basis of old culture. The "national tide" can be counted as an example.
The goal of cultural export should be based on the success of young people in the Korean Wave, that is, to show young people different Korean cultures in a lively and passionate way. When these young people grow up, they will accumulate a good impression on the Korean Wave, which will certainly play a role in all aspects of society.
But many of our traditional cultures have an influence on middle-aged and elderly people because they are too old. Even if they gradually become interested in China culture, their role and social value will become smaller and smaller.
This is also a reason why our export of foreign culture is unsuccessful.
Huawei, Tik Tok, made in China, etc. It can also be regarded as a cultural output. With the development of our economy and technology, culture will affect the world and people all over the world in different ways. Tik Tok can have 100 million users in the United States, and in the process of using products, it will be more or less influenced by our culture.
Huawei's products cover the whole world, which is naturally a cultural output.
Of course, by extension, Made in China is a stronger cultural output and has a far-reaching influence than the Korean Wave.
From this perspective, our cultural output is actually not bad, but it will be better in the future.
