Flower arrangement modeling three elements

Three elements of Ikebana modeling: point, line and surface are the basic elements of modeling, point is the most concise and smallest element; line is an important means of modeling; surface is the extension and expansion of the point or line, and Ikebana is a synthesis of point, line and surface.

Flower arrangement is a modeling art, and it is necessary to master certain basic theoretical knowledge and principles of composition.

Points, lines and surfaces are the basic elements of modeling. Points are the most concise and smallest elements; lines are the important means of modeling; surfaces are the extensions and expansions of points or lines, and a flower arrangement is a synthesis of points, lines and surfaces.

A beautiful modeling work should meet the five requirements of light and heavy, scattered and gathered, staggered, sparse and dense, and echoed, so that the work can be balanced, stable, vivid and beautiful. The law of modeling beauty in the art of flower arrangement is to master the proportion and scale, variety and unity, coordination and contrast, momentum and balance, rhythm and rhythm of the five standards.

(1) Proportion and scale

One is to determine the overall scale of the work, which should be determined according to the spatial size and requirements of the environment in which the work is placed. The second is to determine the proportion between the main flower branches and the container. In the eastern style flower arrangement, the length of the first main branch is 1.5-2 times the diameter of the container mouth plus the height of the container; the length of the second main branch is 2/3-3/4 of the length of the first main branch; the length of the third main branch is 2/3-3/4 of the length of the second king's branch; the length of the complementary branch of each main branch is generally not more than the length of its main branch.
