Technical guide for beautiful seam construction of floor tiles

Prepare tools and materials

Before construction, make sure all tools and materials are clean and ready. These tools include sewing agent, glue gun, wooden wedge, small scraper or finger, wet sponge and textured paper.

Eliminate the gap

Before construction, clean up the dust and other sundries in the gap with a rag or a fine brush, and keep the gap width 1mm deep.

Use textured paper

Stick masking paper along the edge of the tile gap and keep it about 0.5 mm away from the edge of the gap. This can protect the surface of ceramic tile from being polluted by caulking agent.

Filling sealant

Put the caulking agent into the glue gun, and slowly and forcefully drive the material into the joint evenly. Immediately after paving a piece (about 0.2m), block the mouth with a wooden wedge.

Immediately use a small scraper or finger to scrape off the joint filler, and make sure to wipe off the spilled materials on both sides of the brick joint with a wet sponge. Pay attention to wipe the sealant clean before it solidifies, and clean the sponge after each wipe.

Take out the textured paper.

When the masking agent is not completely cured, remove the masking paper to avoid residue of masking agent.

If the joint width is greater than 3mm and the caulking agent filled into the joint of ceramic tile is relatively uniform, then it is not necessary to scrape the caulking agent and let it level automatically.
