node voltage method
The branch current method lists both KVL equation and KCL equation, while the loop current method only lists KVL equation. Compared with these two circuit analysis methods, when there are fewer nodes and more branches in the circuit, the node voltage method is simple because there are fewer equations in the column.
Especially when the ideal voltage source is directly connected in parallel between two nodes, the number of listed equations can be further reduced as long as the node voltage method is flexibly applied. Taking the node voltage in the circuit as an unknown quantity, an independent node current equation is written according to KCL, and then the node voltage is solved simultaneously.
Extended data
Application:
The node voltage method is superior to the branch current method because it needs to solve fewer equations directly than the latter. The method of establishing equations in node method is very simple. At present, computer-aided circuit analysis programs are mostly written by node voltage method.
Kirchhoff's law reflects the constraint relationship between current and voltage in circuit structure. They are the basic laws for analyzing and solving complex circuits. Using this law, the analysis circuit can be summarized into three solutions, namely branch current method, loop current method and node voltage method.
Generally speaking, any complex circuit can be solved by any one of them. If the method is chosen properly, the solution process can be very simple.
