Background of Protestantism

The word Protestantism is translated from the English word "Protestantism". Compared with the word "Catholicism" (communism) of Catholicism, Protestantism is an ideology that establishes churches according to nationalism, nationalism, individualism and even liberalism, and attaches importance to individual independence and separation of church and state. The word consists of "protest" plus the tendency words "-ant" and "-ism". The first two parts of the word "protest" come from the Latin word "protest" or "protest".

Protesters were originally protestors within the Catholic Church, usually counting from the great division between the Eastern and Western churches in 1 1 century. Among them, Peter Valledo, Arnold Brescia, John wycliffe and Jan Huss, who was executed by the Vatican at the stake, were regarded as the earliest protest leaders. Protestantism initiated by Zwingli and john calvin focuses on reform and aims to get rid of the residual tradition of the Catholic Church, so it is also called reformist. Protestants plus Reformed Sect, that is, Protestant Reformed Sect, commonly known as Reformed Sect. Protestantism also refers to the reformed church.
