Traditional commercial street lamps generally use high-voltage alternating current as power supply, while solar street lamps use low-voltage direct current. High-voltage AC street lamps are easy to cause safety accidents in stormy and windy weather, and high voltage is more harmful to people. Therefore, solar street lamps are relatively safer.

2. Different maintenance costs

The installation of traditional city street lamps needs to lay cables, and if there is a problem, it needs to check the whole line, so the comprehensive maintenance cost is high. Solar street lamp is a complete closed circuit, which only needs a single lamp to repair when problems occur, which is simple and low cost.

3. Different service life

The service life of traditional street lamps is 1-3 years, which often needs maintenance. Solar street lamps use LED light source, and the service life is generally 5- 10 years.

4. The environmental impact is different.

Solar street lamp is an environmental protection light source, which uses sunlight, a natural gas energy source, to generate electricity and emit light. Solar street lamps illuminate the bright road for passers-by, which can be perceived as lighting at dark and lighting at dawn, and extinguished due to the time controlled by the core controller. So, how to adjust the time of solar street lamps?

When solar street lamps leave the factory, working hours are generally set according to customer requirements; The turn-on and turn-off time of the solar street lamp is determined by the street lamp controller. Most controllers are located in the hatch. Controller adjustment can be divided into manual adjustment and remote control adjustment, and external adjustment buttons can be adjusted manually. But at present, most of the controllers on the market are controlled by remote control, and this kind of controllers must be equipped with remote control if they want to adjust their working hours.

How to adjust the time of solar street lamps depends on the type of controller used.

1, the charging circuit adopts double MOS series control loop, which reduces the circuit voltage loss by nearly half compared with diode charging, and adopts PWM energy-saving control, which greatly increases the power consumption.

2. The load mode adopts pure light control. When the light is dim, the light sensing system will automatically turn on the light, and the lighting time is controlled by microprocessor and special control algorithm to realize intelligent control.

3. Scientific battery management. During overdischarge, the battery voltage promotes charging and can be used normally after maintenance and compensation. Direct charging and floating charging are used to connect rechargeable batteries, and at the same time, it has high-precision temperature compensation, which makes charging control more accurate.

4. All constraints of all industrial-grade chips and closed components operate normally in cold, high temperature, humid and other environments. At the same time, the crystal oscillator time control is adopted to make the time control more accurate.

Two basic methods for controlling time of solar street lamp controller;

1, lighting control

Solar street lamp is a basic, convenient and widely used control method. This controller does not need to adjust the time, it will automatically sense the intensity of light to control the lights on and off. After installation, there is no need to adjust the turn-on and turn-off time according to the season, and it will automatically turn off during the day and turn on at night. This light control is now widely used in lithium-ion solar street lamps, and compared with other control methods, the cost is also *.

Some customers will ask whether the street lamp will light automatically if it is cloudy. It depends on the cloudy effect. It won't light up under the common cloudy effect, and it will only light up under extreme circumstances. Of course, it needs to be lit in this cloudy situation. Moreover, the advantage of solar street lamps over commercial LED street lamps is that they can light up in extreme weather, because the voltage is 12v, which is safe to use electricity and not afraid of leakage.

2. Time control

Time control is also a common way to control the time of solar street lamps, that is, set the time in advance and turn on or off the lights at a certain time. It is a little more troublesome than lighting control because it is necessary to adjust the time of turning on and off the lights according to the season to avoid causing the street lamps not to be turned on in time. Now more advanced time control controllers can modify the time remotely.

Through the above two basic ways, different combinations can be made, such as light-controlled lighting+time-controlled lighting, time-controlled lighting+light-controlled lighting and so on. For example, our company's solar street lamps are mainly light-controlled, so that customers don't have to take care of special people to control time, and it won't cause unnecessary waste of electricity, and the overall price is relatively cheap.

Solar street lamps are now divided into split solar street lamps and solar integrated lamps. The controller of the split solar street lamp is generally placed in the lamp post, as shown in the following figure. Open the lamp post protective cover to see the controller.

It is not difficult to adjust by pressing the setting switch, but many instructions on the controller switch are in English. If there is no explanation, try not to adjust it, so as not to damage the controller and cause the street lamp not to light up.

The controllers of the solar integrated lamp are all in the lamp holder. If you want to adjust, you need to climb up the lamp post or put it down, and turn on the lamp holder to adjust. You need a special tool to open the lamp holder, so the solar integrated lamp can't be adjusted generally unless you buy the remote control adjustment function of the solar street lamp.
