What are some of the country's particularly peculiar shape of the old building?
There are a lot of ancient buildings with peculiar shapes in China, and I personally think that the more representative ones are the Dikeng Yuan and the Duluo Temple.
I. Dikengyuan
Dikengyuan is now mainly located in the Loess Plateau. My family has an ancient book on the records of the Dikeng Yuan, and not necessarily true. It is said that the clan of the Emperor, the Aratsui clan, originated in Kunlun, and the ancient people at that time did not know how to build the traditional Chinese pole-and-corridor buildings, nor did they know how to do mortise and tenon work and other manufacturing crafts, so the ancient people in the last ancient times could only live in the cave.
Dwelling in caves also developed and improved with the development of productivity, it is said that the ancients were not only able to dig out the house from the ground down, the ancient rulers also took advantage of the favorable terrain to excavate and build a city, it is said that the Loess Plateau is the most suitable for such a mode of construction, which is estimated to be the Loess Plateau became the center of the ancient Chinese civilization for one of the reasons.
Personally, I think the reason why the Loess Plateau has become a thousand gorges and ravines, in addition to the natural factors, our ancient ancestors living in caves, caves for the city of man-made factors can not be ignored. Pit courtyard is an important living fossil remains of ancient Chinese civilization, very precious, worth preserving.
Two, Dule Temple
Dule Temple in Jixian County, Tianjin City, was built in Sui, in the Liao Dynasty rebuilt, is one of the only three Liao Dynasty temples. The mountain gate and Guanyin Pavilion of this temple are old and precious things from the Liao Dynasty, while the other buildings were rebuilt after the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The unique mortise-and-tenon structure is very distinctive, and the characters on the mountain gate are said to have been written by Yan Song, while those on the Guanyin Pavilion are said to be Li Bai's notes.
The temple has a colorful clay sculpture of Guanyin, as tall as a three-story building. The mountain gate and Guanyin Pavilion are wooden structures of the Liao Dynasty, and the arch of the Guanyin Pavilion is very huge, with a Tang style. Dark three-story structure, inside the highest colorful clay sculpture, worth a look.
