Why is progressivism called progressivism?

Progressivism originated in the United States and is a political movement or ideology.

Progressivism is not satisfied with the status quo, actively criticizes social reality and opposes monopoly and the gap between the rich and the poor. American movements from 1900 to 19 17 are collectively called "progressive movements".

Because the movement is positive in nature and initiated by people in business and culture, it is called progressivism.
