What is Amsterdam?
Amsterdam is the capital, economic and cultural center of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The Dutch Parliament, the Prime Minister's Office, government agencies, embassies and international courts are all located in The Hague on the west coast.
The Netherlands is one of the lowest countries in the world. Amsterdam is 1-5 meters above sea level, with an area of about 170 square kilometers and a population of1030,000. The official language of the Netherlands is Dutch, and residents believe in Catholicism and Protestantism.
