Xu Hong's Personal Experience

Born in 1966 in Enshi, Hubei Province, Xu Hong holds a Bachelor of Laws degree in Ideological and Political Education from Wuhan University, a Master of Education degree in Psychology from Central China Normal University, and a PhD in Journalism and Communication from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He used to be the head of advertising department and professor of Wuhan Textile University, and now he is a professor of advertising department of Central South University for Nationalities, master's supervisor, and member of China Advertising Education Society. from January to March, 2010, through the Scholarship Council of the Ministry of Education of China and the Dentsu Company of Japan, he was admitted as a trainee of "China Ministry of Education-Dentsu Advertising Talent Cultivation Fund Project", and went to Dentsu Company of Japan for training and visiting. She went to Dentsu Japan for a study visit (Dentsu Japan is the world's No.1 single advertising company and the world's No.5 media group).

In recent years, Xu Hong has been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses and supervising theses in Introduction to Advertising, Advertising and Consumer Psychology, Copywriting, New Media and Advertising, Television Advertising, Research Methods in Social Sciences, Principles of Communication, Advertising Psychology, and Media Theory and Practice.

Academic major direction for advertising psychology and new media, has initially formed a combination of logical reasoning and empirical research style. The series of research on children's advertising psychology is in the leading position in China, and the current research focus is intended to develop in the direction of the psychology of elderly advertising, which has been supported by the Humanities and Social Sciences Fund of the Ministry of Education in 2009. She has published 32 academic papers on advertising in authoritative and core magazines and other academic journals, such as Journalism and Communication Studies, Contemporary Communication, Modern Advertising, China Advertising, News Front, Psychological Science, etc., of which 4 are authoritative journals, 10 are core journals, 1 is reprinted in full text by NPC, and 3 are indexed by NPC.

Xu Hong presided over the "Dentsu? China Advertising Talent Cultivation Fund Project" - "'Three-in-one' Multi-integrated Advertising Talent Cultivation Mode Research" and won the outstanding award in the finalization.
