What to wear in Norway in winter? Keep This Clothing Guide

Another thing to keep in mind when going to Norway is the question of how much to wear. Because it's still cold in Norway, there are still some clothes that you should definitely bring with you for the best time to visit Norway.

Because of the warm North Atlantic current in Northern Europe, the coast of Norway is not very cold. This is Santa Claus village in Finland. It's -10 degrees during the day and -20 degrees at night. If you feel cold, just dive right into a small store and read something while you warm up.

1, Punching Jacket

Must be windproof, waterproof and sweatproof! The weather in Iceland is rainy, snowy and sunny. This time I brought two sets of jackets, two types of jackets for different temperatures.

Down jacket. I bought a men's down jacket endorsed by Bersih and at TB on double eleven. Feel the quality is not as good as Camel's. After a trip to Scandinavia, the sleeves are fuzzy.

A fleece jacket, camel color, bought two years ago, durable, worn once a year, still new.

2. Large rushing pants

Bought the wrong size before, wrong has its benefits. If I'm feeling cold, I'll wear lots of wool pants underneath. If I'm feeling hot, I'll just wear one pair of pants.

3. Quick-drying underwear

There are hikes. Better wear them and sweat it out. But the amount of glacier hiking I did on this tour was super low. To put it bluntly, it was a glacier trip.

4. Thundershirt

Must be able to cover your ears. Santa Claus in Finland is super cold; Iceland is so windy that anyone can blow it down. The cold wind is as sharp as a knife.

5, hiking shoes

Wearing three years of Roche hiking shoes have not broken, continue to serve.

6, ice grip

Iceland has some places with ice on the ground, it is easy to slip. You'd better wear ice claws. Glacier travelers with groups usually give you free ice claws, so you don't need to worry about this. This time in Iceland, I only wore my own ice crampons at Iceland's Golden Falls because I saw that the road was slippery there. Luckily, I wore them. The wind and water vapor blowing by the waterfall at that time made me tear up and I couldn't see the road when I was walking.

7. Gloves

Brought thick and thin ones. The thick ones are for warmth and the thin ones are for playing with your cell phone.

8, warm baby

I brought a lot of tablets, but did not use them all, I do not feel exhausted. It was minus 10 degrees outside in Finland, and putting on a warm baby was as good as not putting on one. I couldn't feel the warm baby warming me until I got back inside. However, the room was heated. Do I still need to keep the baby warm?

9. Sleeping bag

When I booked the room, two companies wrote that I had to pay extra to rent a quilt, so I bought a sleeping bag. As it turned out, it was an avalanche that killed the hotel in Bisku. The other hotel that said they would rent a quilt didn't even say they would rent a quilt. The sleeping bag turned out to be useless all the way around.

Best Season to Visit

Norway is exposed to the sun for a very short time of the year. July and August are the prime seasons for Norwegians to enjoy the sun. Most Norwegians choose to take their vacations during this time. In addition, two weeks before and three weeks after Christmas and one week before Easter are also Norwegian holidays. So, in general, we should try to avoid doing business and talking business during these times.

The season to visit the west coast of Norway is from June to September. From June, the temperature starts to rise, the sunshine hours become longer, the vegetation starts to flourish, and most of the snow on the mountain passes has melted. After September, the rainfall starts to increase and the temperature starts to drop. After October, it may snow and the days are short. The temperature difference between day and night is relatively large in Norway, depending on the wind as well. Usually the hottest day in summer can reach 30 degrees Celsius, and at night it may drop to about 10 degrees.
