Tired of Service Industry —— Talking about BK's Work Experience

Many people may think that the work here is particularly bad when they see the word "tucao" in this title. Actually, it's not entirely good, but there are some good places. Personally, I have no regrets about choosing to work here.

Because the service industry like these multinational chains can be said to be a career that started at a glance, and there is almost no possibility of extension. Changing careers means starting over!

Moreover, the service industry is really tired and hard. After graduation, I have been engaged in operation, catering and retail. Now I have left my job. I just don't want to take this road to grind time, because the development of my career is chain catering, but I can learn a lot.

If you are a college student, it is ok to earn some spare money by doing part-time jobs.

BK's burger king, we generally refer to BK for short! Before we talk about the atmosphere, let's lay the groundwork for the "work culture". In a store in BK, in fact, most of the service team members here jumped out of McDonald's. Including the management team, because most of OCs and OMs here have been done in McDonald's before.

Speaking of atmosphere, the job of a restaurant is to look good, whether it's an employee or a manager. I'm talking about the manager on duty here. If it's RGM, it's not necessarily so. It really depends on people. After all, every leader's style is different.

I have come into contact with several RGMs, almost all of which have different styles:

One of them is very lazy and hardly does any work. He only asks the manager and the staff on duty to do it. He always gives you a lesson, which sounds really hard to listen to. What he did was to hand over his homework to the leader. Those who seldom go to work in restaurants, even if they return to restaurants, will leave at a glance after handling administrative work!

The other is very diligent, and his ability is far from honest. He is the first and only job after graduation. Relatively speaking, he is very rigid. He only has some things of BK, such as diffuse thinking, but hardly any. Following this boss, I'm sure it won't bring you great horizons.

If you don't do well or don't do as she asks, you will grasp your details as soon as you return to the restaurant: cleanliness, corner hygiene, speed and reserve, and you will never think about the "turnover" problem. You will only focus on this acre of land and not do what she asks, so you can clean it up before work.

There's another one. I haven't been promoted for a long time, and I don't have enough experience in all aspects, but I'm relatively ok, and I have proper limit in dealing with people.

In fact, the front-line employees in the service industry are very mobile, because the salary is not high and they are really tired when they are not working. They always want to run. If they don't run, they can't do anything at all

Just mentioned that most of them belong to Lao Mai. Why? Full-time salary of Laomai employees 13. 1 yuan/hour, BK 17 yuan/hour. BK closes after 65,438+00 in the afternoon, adding 5 yuan/hour, which is relatively high. In addition, Laomai is open 24 hours, but BK is not available 24 hours. Relatively speaking, BK at least doesn't have to stay up late.

The salary of employees is really low, and they have to chase working hours every month. In the case of BK, 166 hours is calculated as 17 yuan, and if it exceeds 166 hours, it is 1.5 times the salary. Because of the limitation of working hours, everyone can't get much working time, especially some shops with light business.

Some people want to work more hours, but they don't want to work more hours They say working hours are limited. Some people want to work less, but they don't want to work less. If you don't work, even scheduling is difficult. When I was short of hands, I tried to go to the early shift after the night shift. The staff have special opinions on this shift and often spit behind their backs. It really exploded!

The standard staff of a restaurant should be nine people, and the working hours are limited according to the turnover. People don't say you have to work overtime and work a few more hours. The workload will be much greater if one person is missing, especially when the door is closed. Some employees only get 2700 a month, which is after tax.

It's mainly about the schedule. An employee spends an average of 6-7 hours a day. By the end of the month, the longest working hours can't be exceeded, and the restaurant is particularly short of staff. He can only come to work at 9 pm and go home after lunch. If he spends less than 4 hours a day, he can reduce the fare for meals. Moreover, the samples were not reimbursed for taking a taxi when they went home.

The salary of the management team is a monthly salary, which is really not high. Many systems are copied from Lao Mai. Some colleagues who skipped said that Lao Mai's system was very powerful. Beginners can get started directly by watching the system for two hours, because French fries and chicken nuggets have standard frying time, so they don't need brains, just need to be skilled enough.

Of course, income also includes bonus, but it is difficult to get it, because it is divided into several parts: turnover, public comments, audit results, REV results, and customer satisfaction. You can't get it if it doesn't meet the standard.

The management team always has to work overtime, starting at 7 am and getting off work at 4 am. The end of the day is really very eventful. In addition to the report, if there is some extra work, you must finish it before you leave. Your RGM always arranges some work for you to do after work, which basically lasts until six or seven in the evening. It's really tiring.

Also responsible for public comments and customer satisfaction surveys every day. These surveys are done by figures. I am very satisfied with sending these receipts to friends and relatives to help me fill them out. Public comments are posted on it every day, and a mobile phone can only do it once a week.

If it is night shift, there will be more things. The manager on duty is mainly responsible for the number of plates and reports. The statement is relatively simple. The main thing is to check whether there is any difference in the quantity of good goods before work. If it is slow, it will be two or three o'clock, waiting for the staff.

After closing time, employees have to remove all the equipment in the restaurant and clean it. There are many things to wash. Moreover, it takes at least 10 times of detergent to clean those oil stains after 8 times. The most troublesome thing is the oven, which takes time to disassemble and assemble.

Usually some items are soaked in advance, and some are cleaned in advance. If you don't clean them up, you can't finish these tasks. After completing these tasks, you should take photos of these cleaned items with the receipt of the day and send them to the group.

My feeling is that you will use it separately. These hardest and most tiring jobs are all done by the bottom employees. The superstructure just wants to do a bunch of jobs that it thinks have no problems in the process, and it is meaningless and even a waste of time, all in order to make a job for the leaders to see.

Speaking of development, it is very important: don't talk about it as your lifelong career!

Why do you say that? First of all, you can't make money. Guangzhou belongs to the southern district. At present, there are forty or fifty newly opened stores. Being promoted to RGM with a salary of 6.8K has to worry about countless trifles every day, such as leading patrol, QAQC inspection, third-party inspection, cash inspection and so on. And you have to worry about whether the managers below are lazy.

Speaking of promotion, not everyone can hold positions above RGM and OC, and it is very popular here. There will be rivers and lakes in crowded places, and not all bosses will like you. Whether you can get a promotion depends entirely on your boss.

Usually, you must get on well with your boss. If your boss doesn't like it, you can say nothing. Especially if the boss doesn't put in a good word for you because of his strong personal style, how can he nominate you?

Most of them are people who promote themselves, bring them out by themselves, and are loyal to themselves. For example, the vacancy of RGM will generally be promoted from the current store deputy. Unless there is a real shortage of people, they can only be rehired. Employees can easily be promoted to management. As long as there is no problem with your interpersonal communication and skill proficiency, it will be quick.

If you just come in, you have to study slowly and endure for two or three years before you have a chance. At present, in the development period, you also need manpower. Some RGMs are hired from outside because they are not very mature large enterprises. Like Lao Mai, they just use the system to screen talents. Survival of the fittest, adaptation to stay.

Speaking of learning, the training system here is actually not perfect enough, it is really poor. Personnel training also needs to be updated and maintained. A new trainee manager really needs to take the initiative to ask and learn. People who don't like you will kick you away like a ball.

Paper documents are all made, where is there any training? Just fill in the employee's name and assessment time in the system, and the work needs to be level.

Some people are very suitable for this industry, especially after a long time, you can really do this industry, and some people may just not be suitable for living in this cultural system.

Manager manager, everything goes through you! Really, managers have to bear much more work and pressure than an employee. Employees are the most relaxed, and the most important skill of employees is proficiency.

I often don't eat on time. Sometimes I'm too busy to have lunch until three or four in the afternoon, and sometimes I don't even have an appetite to eat. In order to get off work on time, I had a drink and started cooking! This is really easy to get stomach trouble!

If you want to support your family, it's really not for you! After all, the salary is really not high. If there is anything, even the vacation should be directed at the mobile phone. Some colleagues have worked in catering for more than ten years, but they can't jump out of this circle. A colleague got married, felt stressed and wanted to resign, only to find that he could do nothing If he changes his job, it means starting over! Holding a lower salary than now, it will be "systematic" in a few years.

On the whole, it's good! Can also exercise people, let you know what is called "life is not easy, and cherish it"!
