Brief introduction of phoenix painting
Phoenix painting, also known as dragon and phoenix painting, is a traditional handicraft of Han nationality in Fengyang, Anhui Province. Originated in the early Ming Dynasty, it has a history of more than 600 years. Fengyang phoenix painting has gradually formed a unique traditional artistic style and Han Chen style through the creation of artists in past dynasties. Its phoenix shape must be "the head of a snake, the back of a turtle, the beak of an eagle, the legs of a crane, the wishful crown and the eighteen wings of Kyubi no Youko", among which hundreds of birds are gathered. In painting techniques, Han folk arts and crafts are the main colors, and the hook coloring technique of meticulous flower-and-bird painting is absorbed. At the same time, it retains the popular painting style of New Year pictures, and can appreciate elegance and vulgarity with the color expression of "multicolored, plain and ink". There are many themes in phoenix paintings, such as: Feng Dan facing the sun, Hundred Birds facing the phoenix, Dai Chao, Wufenglou, Dragon and Phoenix Map, Phoenix Fencing Kirin, Hundred Birds offering their birthdays, Four Screens and other traditional masterpieces, which are deeply loved by the masses.
