Who can help to answer the enlightenment of arts and crafts movement?

This paper investigates the motive force and situation of the emergence and development of British arts and crafts movement, and deeply analyzes the performance of Morris and Ashby in the arts and crafts movement. Based on the resistance and struggle of handicraft industry against machine mass production, it is revealed that art and handicraft movement not only inherited and developed traditional handicraft industry, but also preserved traditional culture. But also promoted the emergence of modern design and had an important impact on the Art Nouveau movement and Bauhaus. Finally, it is emphasized that developing handicrafts is of great value and significance in today's society.
