Hani traditional festivals

1, Hani Girls' Day. The traditional Hani folk festival in Bibo Mountain, Yuanyang County, Yunnan Province is held every year on the fourth day of the second lunar month.

2. Hani Dragon Boat Festival. It is an important sacrificial festival, which is held in February and March of the lunar calendar every year.

3. Hani Dragon Basketball Festival. Every year in the middle of March of the lunar calendar, the "Longbat" in Zhaili is held on a specific date;

4. Rima Festival of Hani people. It means Spring Festival, also called Yellow Rice Festival or Seedling Opening Festival.

5. Hani people in May. Also known as "Yakapiro", which means "the year of growing grain";

6. The Hani people catch grasshoppers. Also known as "Abao Year", it is held every year in the first year of rooster or monkey after June 14 of the lunar calendar.

7. Hani June Festival. Also known as "Bitter Zhazha", it means that the days of bumper harvest and abundance are coming soon;

8. Hani Zalet. It means "kneading glutinous rice dumplings", also known as "October";

9. Hani people taste new festivals. Also known as "Eating the New Valley Festival", it is held in the Year of the Loong on the first day of the seventh lunar month every year.
