What are the main modes of logistics transportation?
1, road transportation. This is a way to transport passengers on expressway by mainly using gas vehicles and other vehicles (such as manpower and animal-drawn vehicles). Highway transportation mainly undertakes short-distance and small-batch cargo transportation, long-distance and large-batch cargo transportation in areas where water transportation and railway transportation are difficult to reach, and short-distance transportation where the advantages of railway and water transportation are difficult to play.
2. Railway transportation. This is a mode of transportation that uses railway trains to transport passengers and goods. Railway transportation mainly undertakes long-distance and bulky cargo transportation. In areas without water transport conditions, almost all large cargo depends on railways, which is the main form of trunk transportation.
3. Water transportation. This is a mode of transportation that uses ships to transport passengers and goods. Mainly carrying a large amount and a long distance. It is the main mode of transportation that plays a major role in trunk transportation. There are the following four forms:
(1) Coastal transportation. It is a way of using ships to transport passengers and goods through coastal waterways near the mainland, generally using small and medium-sized ships;
(2) Maritime transportation. It is a mode of transportation that uses ships to transport passengers and goods through the sea lanes of countries around the mainland. Depending on the voyage, medium-sized or small-sized ships can be used.
(3) Ocean transportation. It is a long-distance transportation form that uses ships to cross the ocean, mainly relying on large ships;
(4) Inland river transportation. It is a way of transportation by ships in rivers, lakes, rivers and other waterways on land, mainly using small and medium-sized ships.
4. Air transport. This is a mode of transportation by plane or other planes. There are two main items suitable for carrying. One kind is goods with high value and strong freight bearing capacity, such as spare parts of expensive equipment and high-grade products. The other is urgently needed materials, such as disaster relief materials.
5. Pipeline transportation. This is a mode of transportation that uses pipelines to transport gases, liquids and powdery solids. Its conveying mode is realized by the object moving in the direction of pressure in the pipeline in turn. The important difference from other modes of transportation is that the pipeline equipment is static.
