Russian dress etiquette Russian traditional etiquette
Visitors to Russia will notice that in Russian folk, married women must wear headscarves, mainly white. Unmarried girls don't want them to wear headscarves, but they often wear hats. In cities, Russia now wears more suits or dresses, and Russian women often wear skirts.
When visiting Russians, please take off your coat, gloves, hat and sunglasses immediately after entering the door. This is a courtesy. The typical Russian national costume is: the man is a long-sleeved shirt with an inclined placket, usually embroidered at the neckline and hem, and a belt is tied outside the shirt. Shirts are generally made of linen gauze, white cotton cloth and colored cotton cloth.
Pants are slightly fat and made of white cloth or dyed cotton cloth. In the cold season, people usually wear thick wool or fur coats, felt hats and high-grade leather boots. American women's clothes are usually long linen shirts with shoulder pads.
In northern and central Russia, married women wear a sleeveless robe called sarafang over their shirts, while in southern Russia, they wear a hand-woven plaid wool skirt.
