The dominant rape areas in the Yangtze River basin have abundant natural conditions such as abundant rainfall, sufficient irrigation water, sufficient heat, fertile soil and low terrain.

The Yangtze River Basin refers to the vast area where the main stream and tributaries of the Yangtze River flow, and it spans the economic zone in the east, middle and west of China 19 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. It is the third great basin in the world, with a total area of 1.8 million square kilometers, accounting for 18.8% of China's land area, and is rich in natural resources.
