Selection of egg carving talents in egg carving art

Egg carving is a kind of folk handicraft that has gradually flourished. There are many kinds of egg carving crafts. One is to carve figures, landscapes and flowers and birds on eggshells with a carving knife. After the pattern is formed, its effect is similar to sketch or line drawing in art; The other is to choose goose eggs, ostrich eggs and other thick eggs as materials and carve them by bas-relief or hollowing out. After the egg carving work is completed, the egg liquid needs to be taken out and disinfected. Because the eggshell is thin and brittle, it is very difficult to carve on it, so egg carving is rare in the market.

Carving eggs begins with picking eggs. You can't buy more eggs when carving eggs, and you can't just rummage around when buying eggs. The optional color should be deep and uniform, and the surface should be scratch-free. It's good to choose one egg per catty. Choose a good egg suitable for carving: don't choose an egg with uneven surface. It is best to have a smooth surface and a shape like a water drop. Draw a small circle at the bottom (round end) of the egg, then carve it lightly with a knife, and carve a small hole in the eggshell with the secret technique of "turning the egg without turning the knife". After the hole is made, make a small hole in the side of the eggshell. Then use the principle of air convection to blow out the egg liquid. Put clear water in the egg for about 7 minutes and shake it up and down, then pour out the water and wash it several times. Use a small brush to reach into the eggshell for deeper cleaning, otherwise the egg will stink and become a "rotten egg"! The cleaned egg holes are naturally dried in the shade for half a month. No sunshine, no oven. When the eggshell and egg membrane are naturally combined, they will become hard and suitable for carving.
