The difference between vermicelli and vermicelli

As far as I know, although both vermicelli and vermicelli belong to vermicelli food, there are obvious differences in raw materials, shapes, tastes and uses. The vermicelli is usually made of coarse cereal starch such as mung bean powder and broad bean powder, with opaque color, thin strips and tough taste. The vermicelli is mainly sweet potato powder, which is thick, dark gray, translucent and rough in texture, and tastes smooth after cooking. In terms of use, vermicelli is usually used as a side dish of hot pot, while vermicelli is often used as a staple food.
