Why is Fujian called CuO?
This character is similar to the villages in the north, and it is very distinctive in Fujian. This word existed in ancient China, and it is a relic of ancient Chinese characters. Fujian is a very distinctive city with beautiful scenery. Many tourists travel to Xiamen, Fujian every year, and the scenery in Xiamen is very beautiful. There are also many famous tourist attractions.
Cuo, which is often connected with Cuo in the old saying, is the application of ancient Chinese in modern language because the factory department refers to rocks, which used to mean the past, and later borrowed from Minnan dialect, which mostly refers to old stone houses (because there are many stones here) and now refers to houses or villages.
In fact, the place names containing the word "CuO" are not only in southern Fujian, but also in Fuzhou, Putian, Ningde and other places in Fujian, as well as in the neighboring Chaoshan area. Most of these places are antique, and the houses are all red bricks and stones, or mixed with shells. Even now, in some villages in southern Fujian, although there is no word "Cuo" in the name, there are still stone houses.
The meaning of other places:
Chaoshan dialect refers to the old-fashioned square houses in Chaoshan, which are improved from the classical buildings in China and have distinctive features. According to its luxury, there are two golden points, which are called "measures"
Shanwei dialect has a border around it, which refers to neighbors. The word "nei" should be widely used. What does this mean? Cuonai means that the nearest branch of the same family is Cuonai, for example, the descendants of the same grandfather are called Cuonai, which is very different from relatives. Relatives are called relatives after children get married.
