In modern times, "East China" is still used as a regional name, which nominally includes Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Shandong, Jiangxi, Fujian and Taiwan Province provinces. Fujian Province and Taiwan Province Province are also overlapping areas of East China and South China. Although Fujian Province and Taiwan Province Province were nominally listed as East China in a certain period, Fujian Province and Taiwan Province Province actually belong to South China, and Fujian Province and Taiwan Province Province are more inclined to the South China plate in terms of culture and personnel flow. The overseas Chinese culture in central and southern Fujian, in particular, has the same historical origin and performance characteristics as the overseas Chinese culture in Xijiang River Basin (Zhao Guang), Dongjiang River Basin (Jiahui) and East Coast (Chaozhou) in Guangdong. The country generally regards Fujian and Guangdong provinces as key hometown of overseas Chinese. Among them, Taiwan Province Province ranks last in the country because of its particularity and is generally not included in the statistics.
