East China culture

Dialects in East China can be roughly divided into Wu dialect, Jianghuai mandarin, Nanjing mandarin, Jiaoliao mandarin, Zhongyuan mandarin, Jilu mandarin, Min dialect, Hakka dialect, Huizhou dialect and Gan dialect.

Wu dialect: Shanghai, most of Zhejiang, southeastern Jiangsu, southeastern Anhui, northeastern Jiangxi (Shangrao) and northwestern Fujian.

Jianghuai Mandarin: most areas in central Jiangsu and northern Jiangsu, most areas along the Yangtze River in southern Anhui and Anqing, Jiujiang City, Jiujiang County and Ruichang City in Jiangxi Province.

Nanjing Mandarin: 6 districts in downtown Nanjing, Pukou District, Liuhe District, Jiangning District, northern Lishui District, jurong city, Chuzhou City, Maanshan City and most parts of Wuhu.

Gan dialect: north-central Jiangxi, Anqing, southwest Anhui.

Jiaoliao Mandarin: East Shandong Peninsula. (Qingdao, Yantai and Weihai, Weifang Qingzhou, Linqu, Anqiu, Changyi, Zhucheng and Gaomi, Linyi Yishui and Rizhao Wulian)

Central Plains Mandarin: Southwest Shandong, North of Huaihe River in Anhui, Northwest Jiangsu and Central Jiangsu (Xuzhou, Suqian and Lianyungang)

Jilu Mandarin: Central and Northwest Shandong

Min dialect: most of Fujian, most of Taiwan Province and southern Zhejiang.

Hui language (Wu language, Wu language Huizhou film): the former Huizhou government in southeast Anhui (including Tunxi, Shexian, Jixi, Xiuning, yi county, Qimen and Wuyuan, which belong to Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province) and Jingde County, the former Ningguo government; Yanzhou Prefecture (Chun 'an County, Jiande County) in northwest Zhejiang; Former Raozhou Prefecture (Shangrao City, Dexing County, Fuliang County) and other places in northern Jiangxi.

Hakka: Gannan (Ganzhou, etc. ), northeastern Taiwan Province Province and western Fujian. East China has two of the four major cuisines of Shandong cuisine and Huaiyang cuisine, and five of the eight major cuisines of Shandong cuisine, Fujian cuisine, Jiangsu cuisine, Zhejiang cuisine and Anhui cuisine. In modern times, "East China" is still used as a regional name, which nominally includes Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Shandong, Jiangxi, Fujian and Taiwan Province provinces. Fujian Province and Taiwan Province Province are also overlapping areas of East China and South China. Although Fujian Province and Taiwan Province Province were nominally listed as East China in a certain period, Fujian Province and Taiwan Province Province actually belong to South China, and Fujian Province and Taiwan Province Province are more inclined to the South China plate in terms of culture and personnel flow. The overseas Chinese culture in central and southern Fujian, in particular, has the same historical origin and performance characteristics as the overseas Chinese culture in Xijiang River Basin (Zhao Guang), Dongjiang River Basin (Jiahui) and East Coast (Chaozhou) in Guangdong. The country generally regards Fujian and Guangdong provinces as key hometown of overseas Chinese. Among them, Taiwan Province Province ranks last in the country because of its particularity and is generally not included in the statistics.
