Vegetable oil, olive oil and Shanghai white oil can be used to maintain stones. High-quality and good stones can be kept without oiling. Occasionally you can brush a thin layer of oil and wipe it with a soft cloth. As usual, it is better to maintain than not to rest. Traditional methods and elements of stone conservation;

1, water retention: spray stone skin regularly or put it in a container to evaporate naturally, and it is advisable to take pure water. After chemical treatment, tap water has corrosive effect on stone skin.

2, hand care, body care: play with your hands, touch or hang on your body, let the stone absorb the oil discharged from human pores, so that the stone body emits mature light for a long time. In jargon, it is called patina.

3. Wax maintenance: use paraffin. Paraffin is a mineral wax extracted from heavy oil during petroleum refining. It belongs to high-grade hydrocarbons, with complex chemical composition, harmful substances and non-volatility. Long-term use will block the respiratory tract of stones and affect the breathing of stones.

4. Oil planting: use oil. Oil is extracted from a woody oil plant in the south. The content of vegetable wax in oil is not high, and the water retention and gloss are not strong.
