How to explain interspecific competition with niche theory
Competition is the most important thing in interspecific relations. Interspecific competition refers to the phenomenon that species with similar needs directly or indirectly inhibit each other for space and resources. The size of interspecific competition depends on niche differentiation (the position or function of species in the environment, including spatial niche, nutritional niche, resource niche or super-volume niche). Niche theory holds that the closer the niches between species are, the fiercer the competition between them will be. Species of the same genus have similar niches because of their close genetic relationship and can be distributed in different regions; If they are distributed in the same area, their niches will be separated by competition, that is, competition and exclusion will lead to niche separation of related species.
