The famous landscape painter, Mr. Zhuang Lijing, is a professor of Chinese painting at the Nanjing Arts Institute. Born in March 1947 in Zhenjiang, Mr. Zhuang Li Jing was a painter when he was young, and in high school he wrote a letter to Qian Song Yan, then president of the Jiangsu Academy of National Painting, because of his love of the artist's paintings, who instructed him to respond to the letter on his behalf, so that he could study with a teacher nearby and build a good foundation. This letter he kept so far has been more than thirty years, Mr. Zhuang talked about this as if it were yesterday. He settled in Nanjing at the age of twenty and worked in a factory. During the Cultural Revolution, Mr. Zhuang, a keen painter, was at a loss as to what to do with his life. Soon afterward, through the painter Zhang Zhengyin, he had the opportunity to meet Qian Songyan, a master of the Jinling school of landscape painting and the head of the Jiangsu Academy of Guopainting. At this time, Mr. Qian was being persecuted because of an article written by Deng Tuo in praise of him, and because of unfounded historical issues that had led to his being "sidelined. When Mr. Zhuang Lijing came to visit him, he was delighted to see the young man copying many of his own paintings as an amateur, and took him on as a disciple. Subsequently, he also got Yaming, Song Wenzhi and other predecessors of the guidance. 7 years later, he entered the South Arts with honors, scholarly painters Liu Haisu, Chen Dayu, Zhang Wenjun professors of the personal instruction. After systematic art training, Mr. Zhuang graduated with honors from the South Arts and stayed in the school to teach, teaching, writing and painting for decades, focusing on the history of Chinese paintings, theories, and the study of law. He has explored the landscape of contemporary masters of painting and traced their "flow". He converses with the sages, immerses himself in the study of ancient painting and calligraphy, searches for Mei Qing's clear and sparse and the "four kings" of the clear and meaningful, and traces Shi Tao's smiling indulgence and Gong Xian's recklessness and richness. He has made in-depth inquiry into the aesthetics and theories of Chinese landscape painting, so as to know its inheritance and seek its development in the use of brush, ink, color and water.

He believes that tradition is the "stream" and life is the "source", and that "to learn from the outside, to get the source in the middle" and "the mountains and rivers and the rest of the gods meet and trace" are all emphasizing the importance of Chinese landscape painting. "All these emphasize the essence of inheritance and development, which is to learn from nature. In order to "go in with the greatest strength and come out with the greatest courage", it is still necessary to learn from nature. His artistic point of view is: emphasize the tradition, learn from the tradition, dig deep into the tradition, go deep into the life for the development and innovation of modern Chinese landscape painting, and create works that have the essence of the tradition as well as the atmosphere and height of the times. To this end, he climbed the mountains and waters, twelve times to Mount Huangshan, three times to Guilin, two times to Changbai Mountain, on the Jiuhua, under the Kuanglu, traveled to Tai Dai, watching the sea, wading in the river, footsteps and to the famous mountains and beautiful waters of God's country, to the nature as a teacher, taking the landscape into their own bone marrow. His masterpiece "Scenic View of Qinglong Ancient Cave" was improvised and written in Qiandongnan, Guizhou Province. The brushwork is mainly based on lines, and the trembling lines of golden stone and roof leakage marks express the zigzagging and twisting hilltops; the old trees in the mountains are lush and verdant, and the ancient temples are reflected in the luxuriant forests; and the clear river and light boats are at the bottom of the mountains. This work appropriately expresses the individuality of the mountain structure, and seeks to achieve the unity of heaven and mankind in the meaning of the painting.

In 1984, Mr. Zhuang Lijing's "The Tiger and the Dragon" was selected for the Sixth National Art Exhibition. In this work, the composition is vertical and takes a far-reaching perspective. In the near view, the river is vast, the white sails are dotted: the craggy rocks of the river, the heavy timber and the absolute shore, the layers of green, and the heavy mountains are pushed by splashing color and ink.
