What are the characteristics of modern Chinese sculpture
One of the two mainstays of 20th-century sculpture was Kandinstein Brancusi (1876-1957).
Brancusi's contributions to modern sculpture are manifold. His most important contribution was the founding of a universally relevant symbol that was sculpted in a simple form that emphasized the basic attributes of form (see Figure 1-18 on page 11). Due to the rapid changes and fast pace of modern life and the clutter of things, there is a demand for the psychological acceptance of a simple, concise form of art.
The other is the sculpture of Cubism, founded by Picasso but represented by the Ukrainian-born Alexander Archinko (1887-1964), whose works are characterized by contrasting solid planes with hollowed-out, open volumes to form a distinctive rhythm and sense of movement, and replacing originally solid or even protruding structures with concave structures to make the space flow, and exploring the and explored the transformation of positive and negative space. Cubism is also represented by Ramon, Toussaint-Villon, Onli Lorance, and Jacques Lipchitz.
Alongside the Cubist sculptors, Italian sculptors created a different style, "Futurism," which Envoluto Boguini declared "the absolute and total abandonment of limited lines and closed sculpture." "Let's open up the human body and close the environment into the human body."
One of the better-known schools outside these two main streams is the Compositional School. Composition school sculptors Naum, Gabor, Ann Pebsonet (1886 ~ 1962) in the creation of a new way to the space occupied by the object, they proposed to replace the sense of quantity with space, time, but also through the composition of the sculpture to seek a new type of architectural expression, an important contribution to the architecture and the use and exploration of new types of materials, so as to put the elements of the sculpture and the elements of the architecture Perfectly combining the elements of sculpture and architecture.
In a word, modern sculpture is full of different genres and styles. The so-called "ready-made" composition assembly sculpture, "soft" sculpture, George Siegel's pop art, etc., dazzling, but their unifying feature is the use of traditional materials and modern synthetic materials (such as metal wire, steel, cloth, paper, etc.), plus a variety of new techniques, the use of sound and architecture. Together with various new techniques, using sound, light, color, electricity, speed and so on, they create a vibrant world that provides talented artists with an exciting opportunity to create a bright and inspiring future.
