According to legend, Zhong Er, the son of the State of Jin, fled abroad and lived a hard life. Follow his meson and cut a piece of meat from his leg to satisfy his hunger. Later, Zhong Er returned to the State of Jin, became a monarch, and rewarded all exiles who followed him. But Xie tui refused to accept the reward and took his mother to Mianshan in seclusion, refusing to come out. Jin Wengong was at his wit's end, so he ordered Yamakaji to be released. He thought that Jiezitui would be filial to his mother and would definitely come out with her. Who knows this torch meson mother and son burned to death. When Jin Wengong buried meson tui, he found a willow hole on his back, and there seemed to be something in the hole. I took it out and saw that it was a skirt with a bloody poem engraved on it: "May my Lord be clear forever." It is better to be a ghost than to accompany you as an exhorter. If your master has me in his heart, remember that I often reflect. I have a clear conscience in Jiuquan, diligent and honest. "In order to commemorate the meson push, Jin Wengong ordered that around April 5th every year, it is forbidden to make a fire, and every household can only eat cold food. This is the origin of the Cold Food Festival and Tomb-Sweeping Day.

Tomb-Sweeping Day, as the traditional culture of the Chinese nation, gathers together on this day to remember our ancestors and inherit the traditional virtues of missing, filial piety and gratitude. The poem "Qingming Festival" by Du Mu, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, said: "There are many rains during the Qingming Festival, and pedestrians on the road want to die. May I ask where there is a restaurant? The shepherd boy pointed to Xinghua Village. " This poem creates an atmosphere of mourning for ancestors through warm and cold weather. Qingming is another day for an outing. At this time, it is also a season of bright spring and lush vegetation, and it is also a good time for people to have a spring outing. After paying homage to our ancestors, everyone got together, watched the great rivers and mountains, and imagined a bright future.

Qingming and Qingming in Qingming culture mean that we should be Qingming and Qingming in our life and work. Tomb-Sweeping Day is also one of the 24 solar terms. As soon as Qingming arrives, the temperature gets warmer, the yang rises, and everything recovers and is full of vitality. It is a good season for spring ploughing and spring planting. Therefore, there are agricultural proverbs that "plant melons and beans before and after Qingming Festival" and "planting trees is not as good as Tomb-Sweeping Day". In this season, it highlights the cultural heritage of promoting righteousness and transmitting positive energy.

On May 20th, 2006, Tomb-Sweeping Day custom was approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.
