Many people think that the annual custom of Yulin in Guangxi originated at the junction of Beiliu City and Maoming Gaozhou. In fact, the origin of the statute is to commemorate the "Notre Dame de Lingnan" in history, and it is the representative of western Guangdong in the Southern and Northern Dynasties. This year is a special festival. For example, the years of most villages in Maoming are not on the same day, and even two neighboring villages are not on the same day. In their minds, "the year is over." On this new year's day, people will hold sacrificial activities, worship programs, invite friends to treat them, sing operas and get together, which is as lively as the New Year.

Need to inherit the traditional customs of previous years. Maybe it's just setting a few tables and treating guests as home cooking. Later, when the economy improved, people set up "long streets" to serve pigeons and lobsters ... Many people thought it was a bad custom to hurt money and grieve. But I don't think so. This law has been passed down for hundreds of years. After the activity of "getting rid of bad habits" at the beginning of last century, it was recognized as intangible cultural heritage, and it still has its significance to carry forward. It's really bad to do great things. This is artificial. As long as it is properly controlled, the statute can be regarded as a good custom, which can carry forward the local traditional culture, stimulate the economy and enhance the feelings between people.

I once passed by Maoming, participated in their local annual festivals, watched plays, entertained, ate and drank, and felt the strong local traditional culture. I think every traditional culture should be well protected. Doing great things is a luxury and waste, but we can't deny the significance of this custom.
