Description of traditional houses in Qinghai-Tibet area

I especially like visiting ancient houses recently. Through these old houses with a history of hundreds or even hundreds of years, we can learn about the local customs and historical changes. There is a young city in northern Jiangsu called Suqian, which is located on Luoma Lake near the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. There are also many celebrities in Suqian history. Xiang Yu, the overlord of the Western Chu Dynasty, is a native of Suqian, and there is a scenic spot of Wang Xiang's hometown in the center of Suqian. In the north of luoma lake, there is an ancient town called Zaohe.

Zaohe ancient town was formed in the market town in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, with a history of more than 400 years. There is a Dragon King Temple in the ancient town, which was built by the Qing emperor to pray for the Dragon King to "stop the waves and eliminate An Lan". The Longwang Temple is famous for its Emperor Qianlong, who went down to the south of the Yangtze River six times and stayed here eleven times, so it is also called "Qianlong Palace". About 10 minutes walk from Longwang Temple, there is a Chen family courtyard, which is not very famous.

Chenjia quadrangle was built in Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty, with a history of more than 200 years. It is the largest ancient residential complex in Suqian. The entire Chenjia Courtyard covers an area of 6 mu with 66 rooms, which can be called Jiangsu version of "Qiao Family Courtyard".

The Chenjia Courtyard, formerly known as Ma, is the private residence of Hu Grandfather Ma. Later, this private house was resold to Chen Yongmao, a businessman from Wucheng County, Shandong Province who was doing business in Zaohe, so it was called "Chen Family Courtyard". Chenjia quadrangle is a cloister-style building structure in the north, where you seem to feel the living conditions of Suqian one or two hundred years ago.

After liberation, the Chenjia Courtyard was nationalized. It was once used as a grain depot, a ship station, a grocery station, a knitting factory and a welfare factory. Now it has been restored and restored to its original appearance, reappearing historical scenes such as the reception room, master room, young master room, young lady room, dining hall, academy, finance room, ancestral temple, Buddhist temple, granary and artillery building, and has become a famous tourist attraction in Zaohe ancient town.

Winter is the off-season for tourism. There are few tourists here, and the courtyard is relatively deserted, which is no longer the prosperity of the past. Shuttle between the courtyards of the Chen Family Courtyard formed the bustling scene of luoma lake more than 100 years ago. At that time, Zaohe was the distribution center of goods on the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, and merchant ships kept coming and going.

Rooms reproduce some life scenes of that year, such as the Chen family's birthday, marriage, etc. Each room has different functions. There is a grain warehouse and a special servant room in the Chen family compound. The servants are responsible for weaving, cooking and other housework.

Zaohe ancient town is about 20 kilometers away from Suqian city. In addition to Longwang Temple and Chenjia Courtyard, there are also Heshan Hall, the Temple of Wealth and other scenic spots, and the traffic is very convenient. You can go to the ancient town directly by car from the urban area, which is suitable for weekend travel.
