#FlowerheadCarNews #The first step back to the track, MC20 starts Maserati's renaissance

The MC20, as the latest flagship supercar of Maserati brand, has just made its world premiere in Italy, and finally got a glimpse of it at the 2020 Beijing Auto Show.

In terms of appearance, the new car's front grille adopts Maserati's classic shark's mouth shape, the headlights adopt a longitudinal layout of LED headlight clusters, and an "air bridge" has been set up on the front hood, allowing air entering from the front grille to quickly pass through the front end of the car, creating a strong downward pressure.

The new car's side lines are full of tension, and the carbon fiber butterfly doors on both sides are equipped with an exclusive "MC20" nameplate. 20-inch wheels with blue brake calipers are dynamic, and the ceramic and carbon fiber brakes in the front and rear are designed to ensure its performance.

The rear end is also powerful, with a large aerodynamic package that makes the car look badass, and triangular taillights in the Maserati family style.

Interior, the new car features a 10.25-inch LCD screen in the center and instrumentation, and shortcut buttons on the steering wheel for start and eject modes. The center control as well as the door panels are covered with a lot of carbon fiber and Alcantara accents, which, together with the push-button electronic gearshift and knob-type driving mode selection, give the new car a minimalist yet sporty look.

Powering the new car is a 3.0T twin-turbocharged V6 Poseidon series engine with 630 hp and 730 Nm, mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. Using the quick eject button on the steering wheel, the less than 1,500kg carbon-fiber mid-rear-wheel-drive supercar can "break 100" in just 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of more than 325km/h.

As the first model under the Maserati brand's complete rejuvenation, the launch of the MC20 announces the return of the Trident to the track and the return of its roots. The 2.9-second "100 percent" supercar will exist as Maserati's "halo" model in the future.

But with a price tag of 2.1 million dollars, would you still choose the MC20 over the McLaren GT? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below!
