Write a practical report on the consumption and reflection of weddings and funerals in rural areas

In rural areas, weddings and funerals are regarded as traditional etiquette and customs, especially in recent years, with the development of rural economy and the improvement of farmers' living standards, farmers' consumption in weddings and funerals has also increased, but due to the ethos, the phenomenon of spending money on weddings and funerals is serious. Among the 300 households, 273 households think that the cost of weddings and funerals is high, 197 households need to borrow money for weddings and funerals, and 138 households need to borrow more than 5,000 yuan, which is unbearable for many farmers. Through the investigation of six villages, such as Fangdian, Tongxin and Yudian in Yangzhai Town, Guangshui City, we find that the abnormal luxury consumption in rural areas is mainly manifested in two aspects. First, marriage is a big event, and consumption blindly keeps up with the joneses. Nowadays, the phenomenon that young people in rural areas get married regardless of their family strength, pursue high consumption, blindly compare with others and stress ostentation and extravagance is becoming more and more serious. The cost of a wedding is generally more than 10,000 yuan, or even borrowing money to get married, mainly for bride price, shopping and catering. A young farmer got married in Xiaoyangwan, Yangzhai Village, and spent 20,000 yuan on bride price, dowry and banquet 1 10,000 each. The man bought furniture and appliances and spent 10 thousand yuan on the banquet. Banquet 16 table, about 300 yuan per table, used dozens of cigarettes and 100 Jin of wine. He lamented that this is the case in the countryside now, and it takes this money to get married. His elderly parents can only shake their heads and smile bitterly. They make a living by farming. The whole family has worked hard to save for many years and has spent it all. Besides, there is a younger brother at home who is at school and will get married and start a family in the future. Several homely folks around us are also pulling each other's backs and openly saying: from matchmaking to marriage, it usually costs more than 20 thousand yuan, such as the bride's 10 suit, gold earrings, gold necklaces, gold rings, refrigerators, color TVs, motorcycles, sofas, combined cabinets and cars. Of course, these do not include the money for getting married and building a house. In this way, the man always spends about 20 thousand, and some people have to borrow money to get married. This kind of marriage has caused some rural youth economic difficulties after marriage and weakened the investment in agricultural expansion and reproduction. Moreover, high-priced daughter-in-law often causes family discord, and husband and wife turn against each other, forming a hidden danger of social stability. Second, luxurious funerals are prevalent. In order to do filial piety, "die to save face." On the way to the investigation, there was a road full of rehmannia paper money, which was one or two hundred meters long and very spectacular. When I asked, I said I had just passed a vast funeral procession. According to Li, a villager, it costs at least 3,000 to 4,000 yuan to hold a white wedding in the countryside, and the grand occasion is nearly 10,000 yuan, including funeral expenses, catering expenses and some superstitious activities. Now many rural areas have implemented the cremation policy. However, most farmers still arrange "burial". Even if a few farmers cremate the dead, they still bury their ashes in coffins and hold a grand "coffin-wearing" ceremony at the funeral. Children and grandchildren wear hemp to mourn and burn incense and kowtow. Some farmers also throw gold and silver banknotes into coffins and scatter money on funeral roads, which is called "spreading gold and covering silver to build a silver bridge". Generally, a Taoist priest will be invited to sing a lesson for 1-3 days, with six or seven people. A day's appearance fee is around 300 yuan, and alcohol, tobacco, food and drink will serve you well. After burial, a monument will be erected to the deceased, commemorative activities such as "May 7th", "White Festival" and "Full Filial Piety" will be held, and some paper horses, paper figures, paper televisions and paper carts specially pasted for the deceased will be bought for sacrifice in front of the grave. In fact, some old people had no one to support them before they died. They were lonely. After their death, their children spared no expense in plastic surgery for their good reputation. Luxury funerals not only cost a lot of money, but also poison the physical and mental health of the younger generation. For these abnormal consumption in rural areas, social understanding is not consistent. Some people disagree with this, others think it is inevitable, and even regard it as "a part of China traditional culture", and some county and township governments have not paid enough attention to its harm. In fact, this kind of abnormal consumption is harmful in many aspects, which not only increases the unnecessary economic burden for the farmers who are not rich, but also leads to the emergence of many stereotypes and bad habits, which has a negative impact on social atmosphere and spiritual civilization. Party organizations and governments at all levels should strengthen propaganda and guidance, regard changing customs as the construction of spiritual civilization in rural areas, and take effective measures to guide farmers' rational consumption. Don't mistake a decent marriage for a symbol of prosperity and civilization, and don't mistake a vigorous funeral for "traditional virtue" filial piety. While guiding farmers to develop production and build a new socialist countryside, rural cadres should correctly guide farmers to update their concepts. On the basis of carrying forward China's excellent traditional culture, they should advocate civilized weddings, do not hold banquets, accept bride price and invest in agricultural production. It is necessary to advocate "thick support and thin burial" and do our best to support the elderly so that they can enjoy the happiness of their children in their lifetime.
