China's four famous gardens?

The four most famous gardens in China are the Summer Palace in Beijing, the Summer Resort in Chengde, Hebei Province, the Humble Administrator's Garden in Suzhou, and the Liouyuan Garden in Suzhou.

The Summer Palace, a royal garden during the Qing Dynasty of China, formerly known as the Garden of Clear Ripples, is located in the western suburbs of Beijing, fifteen kilometers away from the city, covering an area of about two hundred and ninety hectares, adjacent to the Yuanmingyuan. It is the Kunming Lake, Wanshoushan as the base, the West Lake in Hangzhou as the blueprint, drawing on the design of the Jiangnan garden and built a large landscape garden, but also the most complete preservation of a royal palace imperial court, known as the "Royal Museum of gardens", but also a national key tourist attractions.

Before Emperor Qianlong succeeded to the throne of the Qing Dynasty, four large royal gardens were built in the western suburbs of Beijing. In the fifteenth year of the Qianlong reign (1750), Emperor Qianlong used 4.48 million taels of silver to remodel the Qingyi Garden here in order to honor his mother, Empress Xiaosheng, forming a 20-kilometer-long royal garden area from the present Qinghua Garden to Fragrant Hill. Xianfeng ten years (1860), Qingyi Garden was burned by the British and French forces. Guangxu fourteen years (1888) rebuilt, renamed the Summer Palace, as a summer playground. Guangxu twenty-six years (1900), the Summer Palace by the "Eight-Power Allied Forces" destruction, treasures were looted. After the fall of the Qing Dynasty, the Summer Palace in the warlords and the Nationalist rule period, was again destroyed.

Chengde Summer Resort, also known as "Chengde Palace" or "Hot River Palace", is located in the north of the center of Chengde City, Hebei Province, on the west bank of the Wulie River on the narrow valley, is the Qing Dynasty emperor summer summer and deal with political affairs.

The Humble Administrator's Garden is located in the northeast corner of the city of Suzhou (No. 178 Northeast Street), and as of 2014 is still the largest classical garden in existence in Suzhou, occupying an area of 78 acres (about 5.2 hectares). The whole garden is centered on water, with lingering mountains and water, exquisite halls and pavilions, and flourishing flowers and trees, with strong characteristics of the local water town in Jiangnan. The garden is divided into three parts: the east garden is open and spacious, the middle garden is the essence of the whole garden, and the west garden is beautifully constructed, each with its own characteristics. The south of the garden is a residential area, reflecting the pattern of typical traditional residential houses in the southern region of Jiangnan. South of the garden is also built Suzhou Garden Museum, is the only domestic garden museum.

Liuyuan Garden is located at No. 338, Liyuan Road, outside the Gate of Heaven in Suzhou, and is famous for its exquisite architectural arrangement and many strange stones, and is known as one of the four most famous gardens in China along with the Humble Administrator's Garden in Suzhou, the Summer Palace in Beijing, and the Summer Resort in Chengde.

Liuyuan is a large-scale classical private garden in China, covering an area of 23,300 square meters, representing the style of the Qing Dynasty, the garden is famous for its exquisite architectural art, spacious and magnificent halls, and varied courtyards, with Taihu Lake stones as the most important ones in Guanyunfeng, which is the most interesting of the mountains and forests without going out of the city. Its architectural space treatment is exquisite, gardeners use a variety of artistic techniques, constituting a rhythmic garden space system, becoming a world-renowned example of architectural space art treatment. Now the garden is divided into four parts, the eastern part is mainly architecture, the central part is the landscape garden, the western part is the big rockery with earth and stone, and the northern part is the idyllic scenery.
