Is silver divided into cooked silver and raw silver?

There is no such thing. There is no difference between raw silver and cooked silver, but there is a difference in purity. Because it is difficult for silver to react chemically with carbon, there is no difference in purity between raw silver and cooked silver. S is a symbol of silver, and the ornaments are marked with s999, s990, s925 or Qianzuyin and Zuyin, representing the purity of India.

Measuring the purity of silver:

"999" stands for a thousand feet of silver. The color of 999 silver is pale and soft, so the jewelry made of it is easy to deform and cannot be inlaid with gems.

"99" stands for foot silver, with a silver content of 99%, and the jewelry is marked as S990.

"925" silver contains 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper, and the jewelry is marked as 925. Most of our common silver ornaments are made of 925 silver. After polishing, 925 silver jewelry presents a very beautiful metallic luster, but also has a certain hardness, which can be inlaid with gems and made into high-grade jewelry. Internationally known as standard silver.

Silver circulating in the market can be roughly divided into the following categories:

1. Raw silver: refers to silver with a silver content of 99.99%. This kind of silver is collectively called No.1 silver, which is the highest standard of silver smelting at present. It is basically used in industrial silver.

2. Millipede silver: refers to silver with a silver content of 99.9%. This kind of silver material, because of its own characteristics, makes 99.9% silver soft, which is not suitable for the increasingly rich and exaggerated modeling requirements of modern popular jewelry. It is mostly used to make plain silver jewelry (pure silver jewelry, excluding gold or inlay).

3. Foot silver: refers to silver with a silver content of 99%. Before Qianzu silver came out, it was the highest purity of silver for a long time. The highest purity in history is the silver ingot of the Qing Dynasty. Through modern technology testing, its content is as high as 99.6%, and its physical properties are similar to those of Qianzu Drink. Most of the jewelry used is pure silver.

4.925 Pure Silver: It is pure silver with 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper, which is an internationally recognized standard for pure silver. Now 925 silver is generally plated with platinum (white rhodium) to prevent silver from yellowing and blackening under oxidation or vulcanization. At present, 925 silver is mostly used in the silver jewelry market, which is often used for inlaying, imitating K gold and platinum styles.

5, Nepal silver: 925 is the most common, most of them are inlaid with natural gems, and the color is generally white. Compared with Indian silver ornaments, Nepalese silver ornaments have better silver content and more exquisite craftsmanship. The so-called 925 silver in India is usually only about 70%-80%.
