Is there any treatment for nasopharyngeal carcinoma?

The treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma includes surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. For the common clinical squamous cell carcinoma, radiotherapy is the main comprehensive treatment. Early patients can receive radiotherapy alone, while patients with advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma need concurrent radiotherapy and chemotherapy. If there are still residual primary lesions or cervical lymph node metastasis after treatment, salvage surgery can be performed. When distant metastasis occurs in advanced patients, chemotherapy should be given first, and then whether radiotherapy should be given to the primary focus according to the shrinkage of the metastatic focus.
