In 2020, the world's top 500 companies announced that China automobile enterprises will occupy seven seats!

A few days ago, the 2020 Fortune Global 500 list was officially announced.

As one of the most authoritative and concerned commercial enterprises in the world, the Fortune Global 500 list has always been based on the operating income and profits of enterprises, thus screening out the largest, most influential and most valuable companies in the world. The total operating income of the top 500 enterprises on the list this year reached 33 trillion US dollars, a record high, and the entry threshold was raised from 24.8 billion US dollars to 25.4 billion US dollars.

What we are even more proud of is that the number of companies in Chinese mainland (including Hongkong) has reached 124, surpassing the United States for the first time in history (1, 2 1). Together with enterprises in Taiwan Province Province, there are 133 companies in China.

Among them, there are seven auto companies on the list, namely SAIC ranked 52, China FAW ranked 89, Dongfeng Motor Company ranked 100, BAIC Group ranked 134, Guangzhou Automobile Group ranked 206, Geely Holding Group ranked 243 and China Ordnance Equipment Group ranked 434. However, Fortune magazine did not list weapons and equipment groups in the automobile and parts industries, but listed them in the aerospace and national defense industries.

Looking around the world, 23 auto companies were shortlisted. In addition to China, six Japanese car companies were shortlisted, namely Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Suzuki, Mazda and Subaru; There are three car companies in Germany, namely Volkswagen, Daimler and BMW Group. There are two car companies in America, Ford and General Motors. South Korea * * * has two car companies shortlisted, namely Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors; There are two car companies in France, Peugeot and Renault.

It can be seen that the old car groups we are familiar with are all on the list, and Tesla, which has received much attention, has not appeared on the list. It turns out that in 20 19, Tesla achieved a revenue of 24.578 billion US dollars, less than 900 million US dollars from the threshold of the top 500 companies. Maybe we'll see it this time next year.

In this list, Audi, which ranks seventh in total, ranks first among all car companies with operating income as high as $282.76 billion. Toyota, which ranks 10 in the overall list, has a little less revenue than Volkswagen, but its net profit as high as1909.6 billion dollars makes it the most "gold-sucking" car company in the world.

However, it is worth noting that, except for Volkswagen, Toyota, Hyundai and Subaru, the rankings of 18 automobile companies have declined to varying degrees compared with last year. India's Tata Motors Group fell the most, from 265 last year to 337, down 72 places.

At the same time, the revenue and net profit of the short-listed car companies also generally declined. Among the 24 short-listed car companies, 16 car companies' revenue declined, and 15 car companies' net profit declined. Among them, Nissan, Renault and Tata Motors Group suffered losses. This is obviously closely related to the continuous cold in the global automobile market. China car companies were not spared, only FAW and Bingzhuang Group achieved net profit growth in the case of declining revenue, while the other five companies all experienced declining revenue and net profit.

In this regard, some professionals said: since 20 18, the domestic automobile market has undergone periodic adjustment and experienced unprecedented negative growth. The production and sales volume has shrunk from 28.8 million to 25 million, shrinking by about 3 million, and the income of car companies has naturally declined.

Regarding the decline in the ranking, the relevant person in charge of Geely said: "Compared with the previous year, our revenue last year has not changed much, but the overall scale of the top 500 enterprises has expanded. It is difficult to do the physical industry now, especially the manufacturing industry. There is a trend of "detachment from reality", and the ranking of China car companies may decline next year. "

Thus, although there are many short-listed automobile enterprises, there are also many difficulties and challenges faced by China automobile enterprises. Only by improving profitability, expanding the market and going abroad and realizing a truly international layout can we enhance our ability to resist risks.
