First, new media represents the development direction. Here, you can get the latest media thinking, which is user thinking. Therefore, compared with writing and reviewing manuscripts, studying users' psychology and habits are the real core skills in operating new media, which are exactly what traditional media lack most. For a long time, because most traditional media are institutions that protect the harvest from drought and flood, they are more responsible for the positioning of "propaganda mouthpiece". In terms of grasping users, traditional media is really far from it, and this is precisely the direction of future media development. As something for people to see, it is actually more important to study people who see things than to study that thing.

Second, there are also many people who say that the rigorous working standards of traditional media are what new media practitioners lack most, so it is recommended to go to traditional media to lay the foundation first. In fact, I want to say that this is a kind of prejudice. Traditional media and new media are not so clear-cut. There are many articles in traditional media that are illogical and have low typesetting aesthetics. There are also a few new media operation teams with fresh content and clear views. Therefore, this is not the difference between the two media, but the difference between different media practitioners. So there is no such thing as going to the media to lay the foundation. Of course, in comparison, because new media pay too much attention to traffic, sometimes there will be a lot of eye-catching writing, but this is only the fault of some new media practitioners or new media platforms, not the original sin of new media.

Third, it is suggested that if you go for an internship, you must choose a big new media platform. My suggestion is not to pay too much attention to salary in the internship stage, but to look at it in the long run.
