The experience of reading it a thousand times

Recently, the college arranged to study Chen Dahui's Reading a Thousand Times. Looking back on its own learning, growth process and experience, I am deeply touched, and many problems encountered during the period seem to have a new understanding.

From the first part of the book, "Children's Kung Fu Begins with Reading Posture", I learned that in ancient private school teaching, teachers taught students to read without explanation, and taught them to read for eight hours a day without mispronouncing or missing words, that is, they read repeatedly and every day. It's really "read it a thousand times, its meaning is self-evident", but read it a thousand times, its meaning is self-evident. The biography of the Three Kingdoms of Wei Zhi and Wang Su quotes Wei Lue: Dong Yu is good at governing Lao Zi, making Lao Zi's Annotations and Zuo Shi's Biography. People have learned from scholars, but they refuse to teach. As the cloud says, they must read it a hundred times first. Say it a hundred times, read it a hundred times, and see for yourself. The meaning of this passage is that Dong Yu is good at studying Laozi, making more accurate comments on Laozi, and also good at studying Zuo's Biography. Someone wanted to learn from him, but Dong Yu refused to teach him, saying that you must read what you want to learn a hundred times first. He explained that after reading it a hundred times, the meaning and ideas would naturally emerge. Combined with my own practical experience, my children's class now requires reading for one hour every day. I gave up in my heart before it was implemented. I did it with an uncertain and trying attitude. At first, as a teacher, my attitude towards reading classics has not changed, so I obviously feel that students are not in the state of reading, not only upset, but also various situations will happen within an hour. The conditions of teachers and students are very poor.

With the in-depth and comprehensive study, I gradually understand that virtue has been passed down for thousands of years in ancient times, and this method has also been used for thousands of years. In Saint Amethyst, it is said that "the way of teaching is expensive and specialized"; Kong Old Master Q also said "I am consistent", which is a good method, but it is a pity that no one is doing it now. Then we need to continue to adhere to this method, so how to do it specifically?

Teacher Chen Dahui told us:

1, the place is very important: the harsh environment for students to study must be quiet, without noisy voices and impetuousness, and settle down;

2. In the process of reading the Bible: sit up straight when you should sit, and stand up straight when you should stand. If you choose a path, you can't scratch your head.

3, reading posture: when holding a book, stay away from the book, don't get too close, don't lay flat, don't put it on the table, just head straight, just look forward, then this hand holds the book, and the right hand takes out the index finger;

4, finger reading is very important: when the hand is pointing, the position of the hand should be next to the word, and the speed of the finger should not be too fast. It must be the word you read in your mouth, and your hand is pointing to it. Pointing is to make the child's heart and voice completely integrated with words;

5, the sound of reading: the sound of reading can not be too loud, nor too small. When reading, the text should be clear and not vague. A child can tell whether he is respectful and steady by listening to his voice.

6. Read it a thousand times. The most important thing is that the sound comes from the mouth, but it is not enough for the heart. When reading the Bible, I have nothing in my mind but these words. Following words, our hearts should be integrated with words. Do "Zhi Zhi and then make a decision, then you can be quiet, then you can be quiet."

It is because of this sincere explanation that I gradually strengthened my heart: that is what I want to do. So with this in mind, I kept reminding, urging, demanding and encouraging my children in the one-hour reading class, and slowly persisted in the reading class. After students enter the classroom, they gradually calm down, keep quiet in the classroom, sit in their seats and stop thinking. After slowly calming down, remind them of the requirements of reading classics and slowly start to enter the state of reading classics.

It was Chen Dahui who told us that as a teacher of traditional culture, we should do and practice according to this learning method, and don't think about what to expect, "only ask about cultivation, don't ask about harvest", "do our best first, then listen to destiny" and "be sure to learn and seek inward". It is precisely because of the teacher's persistence and sincerity that I am deeply impressed, and I will gradually discover the child's persistence, teacher. ?
