Nine steaming and nine drying methods

"Nine steaming and nine drying" is one of the processing methods of Chinese herbal medicines, which includes two actions, one is steaming and the other is drying.

Take black sesame as an example: first, wash black sesame once, and then soak it in clear water for a while. After several washes, empty black sesame shells will float on the water, throw away these open spaces, and then pick up black sesame seeds and drain them. Then put the black sesame seeds in a pot and steam them with water, starting with boiling water, steaming for 2-3 hours and steaming thoroughly.

After steaming, start drying. It must be dried on a sunny day. Black sesame seeds should be aired evenly, steamed nine times, and aired only once a day. It needs to be repeated nine times to be completed. Remember to watch the weather forecast before you prepare.
