Who knows what equestrianism is
Equestrianism originated in the productive labor process of primitive humans. In 680 B.C., the ancient Olympic Games featured horse-drawn carriage races. Equestrianism in China also has a long history, emerging in the Zhou Dynasty and flourishing in the Tang Dynasty. Modern equestrian sports began in Europe. 1900, in the 2nd Olympic Games, equestrian was listed as an official competition.
The highest organization of equestrian sports is the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI), founded in 1921 and headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland. The highest organizing body of equestrianism in China is the Chinese Equestrian Association, founded in 1979 and headquartered in Beijing.
On May 10, 2022, equestrianism at the College of Vocational and Technical Sciences of Inner Mongolia Agricultural University was selected as one of the seventh batch of representative projects of intangible cultural heritage at the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region level.
