What types and varieties of stem mustard are there?

Mustard for stem, also known as green vegetable head, ox horn mustard head and mustard tuber head. Mustard for stems feeds on swollen and tender stems, with rich varieties. Among them, the varieties with obvious tumor-like protrusions on the swollen stems are very suitable for processing, and their processed products are called mustard tuber, which is the most famous in Fuling, Chongqing. The swollen stems without obvious tumor-like processes are called stick vegetables, which are suitable for fresh food.

(1) processing varieties

① Shilin grass kidney: Chongqing Fuling variety. There are three tumor-like protrusions on the stem at the base of petiole, the lower part is larger and the middle part is extra large. The enlarged stalk is beautiful, with a single stalk weighing about 500g, and the yield per hectare is1.95 ~ 2.1000kg. The head is neat, the leaves are obovate, the leaves are dark, the petiole is short and fat, the leaf margin is usually purple, and there are lobes at the base of the leaves. Strong fertilizer tolerance, easy germination and budding on the stem, easy hollowing and late bolting. The ability to resist virus and soft rot is weak, the quality is good and the yield is high. Processed mustard tuber has the best quality. It takes about 1 10 days from planting to harvesting.

② Three rotors: the swollen stems are short and oval, the leaves are green, the leaves are long and narrow, and the petiole has 5 ~ 10 pairs of lobes. The petiole is short, adaptable and barren-resistant. The swollen stem is easy to germinate fu-organ buds, easy to be hollow, late in bolting, with thin skin and less fiber, and the processed mustard tuber is of good quality. There are 3 ~ 5 protrusions on the stem at the base of petiole, which are irregular and arranged in three turns. The expanded stem is about 500g, and the yield per hectare is1.8000 ~1.9500 kg. It takes about 120 days from planting to harvesting.

③ Goose bun: The swollen stem is similar to the kidney of Shilin grass, but the tumor-like protuberance on the stem at the base of petiole is short and round, like the sarcoma crown on the head of a male goose, and the longitudinal diameter of the stem is shorter and nearly round than that of Shilin grass kidney. Leaves are yellowish green, obovate, and petioles are short and thick. Strong fertilizer tolerance, swollen stems easy to sprout organ buds, easy to hollow, late bolting, relatively antiviral, thin skin, less fiber, good quality and high yield. The processed mustard tuber has good quality. The weight of a single expanded stem is 450 ~ 500g, and the yield per hectare is 1.65 million ~1.8000 kg. It takes about 120 days from planting to harvesting.

(2) There are many kinds of fresh food.

There are many varieties suitable for fresh food, such as Cornus officinalis, horn vegetables, bamboo shoots, Chinese cabbage, lion's head and lion's head. Mustard heads can be processed or eaten raw. These stem mustard only need to be peeled and sliced for frying, or peeled and diced for cooking, or peeled for kimchi. Different from the head of mustard tuber, there are about 4 long tumor heads and protrusions on the stem at the base of the petiole of mustard tuber. Horned vegetables have only two sharp tumor-like protrusions; The stem of the stick vegetable has no obvious tumor-like process, which looks like the stem of lettuce; There are irregular tumor-like protrusions on the stems of the big lion head and the second lion head, and the stems are light green. The second lion head is earlier than the big lion head, but the swollen stem is smaller than the big lion head.
