Why young people do not respect customs

There may be several reasons why young people do not respect customs. First, social change and modernization have caused the meaning and significance of many traditional customs to fade. Young people have embraced more Western culture and values, which may lead them to recognize traditional customs less.

Secondly, as society develops and individuals' lifestyles change, young people's ways of thinking and rhythms of life have also changed greatly. They may pay more attention to personal freedom and independence and are not willing to be subject to too many constraints and restrictions. Traditional customs, on the other hand, often require people to act according to certain prescribed patterns and procedures, which may not be very compatible with the values and individual needs of young people.

In addition, some customs may be considered outdated, superstitious or impractical in modern society. Young people may be more rational and scientific, favoring experience and empirical evidence. They may be more concerned with practical issues and personal interests, and question the meaning and value of some traditional customs.

It should be noted, however, that not all young people do not respect customs. There are still many young people who still observe traditional customs, respect traditional culture and look for innovative ways to pass on and develop traditional customs. The audience and inheritors of customs are also changing, which is a natural process of cultural transmission and development.
