Physical education is an essential element in our daily life and plays an important role in human development. However, from the survey, we find that there are many problems in middle school students' sports activities: the middle school students have a wide range of activities, little exercise time, unclear purpose, low efficiency, inconspicuous effect and weak consciousness, which leads to their inconsistency and lack of sports health knowledge ... The situation is grim. But we are also delighted to find that the government and schools attach great importance to this and create a good environment for students' physical exercise. I believe that with the efforts of the whole society, our middle school students' sports situation will be greatly improved, and they will truly develop in an all-round way and contribute to the construction of the motherland.

Research background, significance and value;

The phrase "life lies in sports" has inspired countless people; The motto "Faster, Higher and Stronger" encourages people to never stop. With the success of Beijing's bid to host the 2008 Olympic Games, the word "sports" has become an increasingly popular topic. However, the high proportion of sub-health in China's social population has long been a problem that cannot be ignored. The health status of middle school students directly affects learning efficiency. Therefore, our group is going to carry out a research study on the current situation of middle school students' sports, investigate and understand the current situation, existing problems and shortcomings of middle school students in this respect, strive to popularize the correct sports methods, and suggest improving the school sports arrangements to form a good sports atmosphere so that students can have a suitable environment and grow up healthily.

Results and analysis:

In the last semester's investigation, we distributed 100 copies through the whole school questionnaire survey, and actually received 95 copies. By interviewing our PE teacher, Mr. Wang Haiming, and the sports minister of our student union, we learned a lot of knowledge and got a deeper understanding of the current situation of middle school students' sports.
