How to choose fishing position for herring fishing

Lead: Herring is large and docile, mainly aquatic shellfish such as snails, clams, clams and so on. How to choose fishing position for herring fishing? Come and have a look with me!

How to choose a fishing rod for herring fishing: use a hard-adjusted rod of more than 6 meters.

Thread: Use a thread with a diameter of 0.6 mm. The diameter of the brain thread should be above 0.4 mm and not less than 30 cm. It is best to use a reel, and the wind line at the tip of the pole should be left longer to facilitate fish walking.

Hook: Use 8 or more hooks. With barbed hooks, the bend should be wider. You can also combine two hooks (or add another hook) and wrap the bait outside, similar to a bomb hook. Because there are many hooks, the hooks are knotted in many places in the fish mouth, and the hooks are stronger.

If you are ready to catch herring purposefully in advance, you should also prepare the hook. Because instead of fishing with a net, it is better to tie it with a hook. The handle of the net is thin and easy to fold. When fishing big fish, especially when there is a certain steep slope between the shore and the water surface, it is best to use a long handle to tie the hook.

Black carp and grass carp have many similar habits, which are fast growing, widely distributed and adaptable. There are also similarities in body shape. Their biggest difference is that grass carp's staple food is gramineous plants, which belong to herbivorous fish, and its temperament is relatively docile, while herring is a carnivorous fish, mainly eating aquatic shellfish such as snails, clams and clams, and also eating grasshoppers, earthworms, green worms, water hyacinths, dragonflies, crickets and so on.

Black herring is very timid. As soon as it moves, it lurks into the deep water and often feeds in the mud at the bottom of the water. Unlike grass carp, it likes to live quietly in the mud layer where underwater aquatic animals live.

According to this feature, suitable fishing spots are selected in ponds and lakes with a certain water depth and more shellfish such as snails and mussels. In addition, it can also be seen in water bodies and aquatic plants with obstacles such as gravel and stakes at the bottom of the water.

In summer and autumn, herring often swims for food in the marginal areas of relatively quiet lakes, reservoirs and other waters. Anglers can observe these places in the morning and evening, and bubbles will appear where herring swims.

The position of black herring foam changes irregularly, which is easy to distinguish, because apart from small bubbles, there are always several large bubbles mixed with some plant debris such as long or short grass stems, which float to the water surface. If such a big bubble is found, it can be used as a herring fishing spot.

In addition, herring is timid and will dive to the bottom as soon as there is movement. When looking for fishing spots, you should tread lightly, be careful when fishing, and don't make any noise to scare the herring away.
