Present situation and prospect of freight industry

Domestic freight volume continues to grow.

According to the data of the National Bureau of Statistics, from 20 15 to 20 19, China's total freight volume showed an increasing trend, in which the total domestic freight volume reached 53.40 billion tons in 20 19, with a year-on-year increase of 5.5%.

Road transport accounts for a large proportion.

In 20 19, the national road freight volume reached 416.06 million tons, accounting for 74.32%. Followed by water transportation, accounting for16.16%; Railway and air transport accounted for 9.50% and 0.02% respectively. Domestic cargo transportation relies heavily on roads, and the potential of railway transportation needs to be further developed.

With the rapid growth of railway and waterway freight, the policy effect appears.

From 20 17, the growth rate of railway freight in China exceeded other modes of transportation, reaching 10.7%, while the growth rate of road freight began to decline, falling to 5.2% in 20 19; In 20 19, the growth rate of waterway freight exceeded the growth rate of road freight, reaching 6.3%, and the domestic transportation structure adjustment policy played an obvious role.
